Busy Girl

Eliza is getting more independent these days and it's showing in everything she does. She feeds herself more now and will go up and down the stairs to play wherever she wants in the house regardless of where we are. She's also showing a little attitude in the way of ignoring us when we tell her no. She is starting to mimic words and sounds so it's been fun to hear what she comes up with. She'll say e-i-e-i-o from "Old McDonald" usually as e-i-o. She can say uh-oh but also says it as uh-uh-oh. We're trying to get her to communicate more about what she wants or doesn't want, but she isn't too interested in saying cup, eat or all done. It's a little frustrating when she screams for something and we don't know what she wants, but we're going to get it all figured out.

Eating breakfast. When spoons fail, just drink straight from the bowl. Showing her independent style of decorating by using wax paper, the entire roll.

Oh for the love. Only wax paper? You can do better than that Eliza! Go for the shortening or Desitin... comon! :) Wax paper IS pretty fun. And you are just too cute to get into trouble. Live it up babe!

way to go, Eliza! don't forget to mess with Mommy's craft stuff, make-up..etc. It pays to be cute, you can get away with anything.

With Grant, I used about 3 simple sign language signs to help with communication. The sign for "more" was the most used -- might be worth a try!

We miss you!
