We had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with my family, but definitely missed having Brian around to celebrate, especially since today was also Eliza's 3rd birthday (she won't have her birthday on Thanksgiving again until she is turning 14 in 2021, just a little trivia for you). I had saved two presents from Brian and I for Eliza to open today. She was thrilled to have more gifts and shared her Toy Story 3 DVD with everyone for our after dinner entertainment, which was followed by our first drive of the season to look at Christmas lights.
We started a new tradition this year where we sent out paper feathers to some family and friends and had them share what they're grateful for by writing on the feathers and sending them back. We had a great response from everyone and Eliza loved adding the feathers to our turkey in addition to getting mail addressed to her.
Again, a parting shot of Simon laying on the same blanket that is in pretty much every picture I've posted of him. It's a good blanket for carseat bundling, what can I say?

my grandfather who turned 90 friday, was originally born on thanksgiving. he always says his bday is thanksgiving even thought obviously its not always the same. i dont think he even remembers which day it really is - only his kids do - haha
i remember seeing toy story 1 in the theater with all my cousins and aunts and uncles after thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant in manhattan for my grandfathers 75th bday - toy story - good thanksgiving tradition :)
are christmas lights out already? theres a neighborhood in brooklyn that everyone drives through because of the really elaborate christmas light displays on the houses - i havent been for a drive through there in years
ps youll be happy to know this catered meal thursday included a pumpikn pie in addition to birthday cake - totally random and not good but there
