- We welcomed baby Simon into our family on September 13th after an eventful pregnancy early on involving a blood clot next to the baby. Luckily, the clot resolved on its own and didn't cause any problems. The rest of my pregnancy was fairly easy with an unmedicated delivery and a quick recovery, but was accompanied by severe hip pain just prior to Simon's birth and for about 2 months after. Weeks of physical therapy and ballet have helped me to work past the pain and I can finally walk pain-free the majority of the time now.
- I completed my dietetic internship, passed the credentialing exam, and am now a Registered Dietitian.
- Eliza had an awesome few months in daycare where she learned all about shapes, colors, and letters. She ended her time there with a neat compilation of her artwork and a scrapbook made by her teachers, Miss Stephanie and Mrs. Jessica.
- Brian spent 6 months out of this year away for work which wasn't really a highlight, but was a major part of the year nonetheless (although, as the picture shows, his assignments aren't always that bad). We've got another 10 months in 2011 before he'll be home for good, but he'll be back for a visit in February when we are going on vacation to Hawaii!
- We celebrated 10 years of marriage!
- We survived Snowmaggedon in Maryland.

- We moved to Utah to be near family.
- Eliza got her first haircut, learned to ride a tricycle and started taking dance classes. She also finally caught up on teething and now has all of her baby teeth. The last tooth to come in was her left canine. It's still not quite in position all the way yet, but it's there.

- We vacationed in Costa Rica and Rocky Gap State Park in Maryland.

- Eliza had minor surgery to remove her adenoids in July which had been enlarged and causing problems with her breathing. They were also blocking the drainage from her ears and were contributing to repeated ear infections. Since the surgery, she has had no ear infections and her breathing has improved.

Top 10 of 2010: Summary
We are not sending out Christmas cards this year. This is the stand-in for our annual holiday greeting and update. I'll get back to card sending next year, maybe. Merry Christmas everyone!
