Fancy Nancy Party

Eliza and I have been reading the "Fancy Nancy" books for a little over a year and she loves how Nancy always gets to dress so fancy and make such fancy things. We decided that it would be fun to have a Fancy Nancy party with some friends and get to be fancy at home. We originally planned the party around Valentine's Day, but everyone was sick then and we had to postpone. We ended up doing a spring-themed party and it turned out really well, especially since no one was sick!

The girls are all friends Eliza has made in dance class and they've all been waiting for this party and talking about it for months - outfits had to be planned, fancy food had to be chosen and decorations couldn't be overlooked. We had a lunch of cut fruit and vegetables, blue and purple "ribbon" sandwiches, blue pasta salad, cream puffs and raspberry white grape juice with raspberries floating in the cups. The girls also made their own rainbow snow globes (with a lot of help from the moms, who knew getting crayon wrappers off was so difficult?) and got to take home pinwheels. It was a lot of fun and we're already looking forward to another party.
