- We took Eliza duck pin bowling last weekend and she had fun for about two frames but then wanted to play in the birthday party section of the bowling alley since there were about 10 parties going on with balloons and cake, all of which was much more interesting than repeatedly throwing a ball down the lane.
- Then on Friday night Eliza had a little singing presentation at daycare where her age group performed "Jingle Bells". She just sat there and shook her bells. She learned the song too but didn't actually sing any words. This was her last day in this center so we also said goodbye to some of her teachers. She's moving to a new center in January.
- After the daycare presentation, we went to our ward Christmas party where Brian accompanied a trumpet soloist for "O Holy Night" and "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear".
- Finally, we had a huge snow storm move in on Friday after all of the parties and it snowed through Saturday late evening. We ended up with nearly 2 feet of snow and now we have lots of ice and slushy roads to deal with. Brian spent all of Saturday and Sunday digging us and neighbors out of the snow since we were the only people with an actual shovel. Who really thinks that using a dustpan, bucket or garbage can is going to work? Church was cancelled so Eliza and I just stayed inside and kept warm.

Those snow pctures are sooooo crazy. I'm so glad we didn't get stuck in that! WE miss you guys:(
Hey, if all you have is a dustpan, then that's what you use! That's what happened our first year in MD. I don't know why we didn't have a snow shovel. Oh yeah, they were out of them everywhere. And that was even before the snow storm. But wouldn't you know, we got one later for the next storm, but it didn't make it back across the country for some reason. So Stuart had to to dig us with our garden shovel.
